The book presents the status of new media as a space for pop culture. Christian S. Nissen, international media expert and the former Director General of Danmarks Radio (DR) for longstanding achievements in promoting democratic standards in the media. The Executive awarded long-term activities at the international level (Council of Europe, European Broadcasting Union) and Christian Nissen’s latest publication, entitled „Media Freedom Revisited. The Widening Gap Between Ideals and Reality” (chapter in a collective work edited by U. Carlsson „Freedom of Expression and Media in Transition”, Goteborg: Nordicom Publishing House, 2016). |
The Award ceremony took place on June 15, 2018 in Warsaw, during the conference of the European Media Management Association.
