PhD Dissertation Award ‘2021

Polish Communication Association Board is pleased to inform that the winner of the PhD Dissertation Award ‘2021 is Katarzyna Pagacz, who wrote a doctoral thesis titled: ‘Public diplomacy of European Union countries in social media’.

Katarzyna Pagacz, obtained the PhD degree in Jagiellonian University (Management and Social Communication Faculty). The PhD thesis supervisor was Professor Agnieszka Hess (UJ).

The Reviewers emphasized the topicality and importance of the scientific problem, the insight and wide scope of the analysis, as well as the cognitive and scientific values ​​of the empirical research.The award ceremony will take place on September 22, in Gdańsk, during the opening of the VI Congress of the Polish Communication Association.

The Award has been given in XIV Edition of the Award. Each dissertation in the contest was evaluated by two Reviewers paying special attention to scientific weight of subject of the study, its importance for practice of social life and originality, methodological and structural validity, language of narration, logic and accuracy of arguments and completeness of source database
